Curiosities.

Since the 11 S attack the world has not been the same.
On account of the fact that the weapons that were used to carry out this horrible catastrophe were plaines, it was necessary to reinforce the security in the airports.

Nowadays, each time that we want to travel by plane we have to pass more strict review methods than before.
One of these systems caused a great controversy because the passengers have to pass through a cabine that digitilise their image with a X-ray system that makes it seem that people are practically nacked.
This annoyed many people because they considered that it violates its privacy.

When New York shocked the world

The terrorist attacks of the 11 th of September 2001 are the most remembered ones in our society.

It was an awful day in which the death took over the life. Thousands of people died, some of them were travelling in the planes, others were inside the towers, others were people from the rescuers team and the rest were pedestrians.
Four planes (although only 3 reached its objectie)  were hijacked with the aim of been used as a missile against the Great Towers of New York.

To begin with, it is important to specify that the 11 S was not completely an attack because of religious causes. It was a collateral damage in a civil war within the political Islam.

There are two differentiated groups: the ones like Ben Laden, who want to install theocracies; and another great silent majority who are prepared to talk with Occident.

The United States and the Arabic countries have maintained a relationship with many ups and downs throughout the history.
This relationship consisted on the one hand  to facilitate the access of oil from the Arabic countries to the United States. And on the other hand to achieve a peace agreement between arabs and Israelis.
On top of that, the United States gave large quantities of money to the Arabic countries, so why did they attack the Twin Towers of New York?

There are so many reasons, but the most powerful one is probably the foreign policy of the United States and specially its support to Israel.
However, these attacks were the result of a failed strategic reasoning of Ben Laden.
He thought that the United States was  a paper tiger that could only put up with a few attacks before retiring, leaving alone its Middle East allies.

But United States’ answer was to destroy the Taliban regime and to decimate Al-Qaeda.
Although the 11S was a tactical success for Al Qaeda, actually it threatened the organization’s future.

The place were the Twin Towers were situated is called Zero Zone.
Twelve years after the attack it has been inagurated the Liberty Tower in the Zero Zone. It is 541 metres tall and it has 102 floors. Its price has been of 3000 thousands of euros.
